A big part of The Minnesuing Group is spending time building relationships with other Members. To facilitate this, each year we arrange for several special activities during the 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm block on Monday.
We describe these opportunities below, although Members are not required to take part in any … they’re equally welcome to sit by the fire in the Great Hall and read.
9 Holes At Hidden Greens (3 hours): Just 10 minutes from Minnesuing is Hidden Greens golf club, considered the best-kept secret in northern Wisconsin. This natural beauty features rolling hills and tree-lined fairways that challenge you to reach the large, well-manicured greens. It is a uniquely designed course that is fun and challenging for all skill levels.
Kayak / Canoe Trip On The Brule River (3 Hours): The Brule River is a premier trout stream that drops 328 feet through a state forest from its headwaters to the shore of Lake Superior. It’s renowned for its whitewater canoeing, kayaking, and wilderness solitude. On this guided trip, Members spend significant time on the water through a safe but exciting stretch of the Brule, enjoying the sights and sound of the Northwoods.
Sporting Clays (2 Hours): The Lodge lays claim to a world-class sporting clays course. Many Members have enjoyed shooting trap during the Tuesday break in previous years; here’s a chance to demonstrate (or learn) skills across a variety of shooting scenarios.
Pilates (1 Hour): If outdoor activities don’t strike their fancy, Members may attend this instructor-led Pilates course at the Lodge. They can expect a fun and relaxed session appropriate for a full range of experience levels.
Kicking Back At The Lodge (3 Hours): If Members choose not to participate in one of the above activities, they have many other options at the Lodge that require no planning, including: archery, badminton, billiards, bowling, canoes, fishing, hiking, kayaks, mountain bikes, paddleboats, par 3 golf, rifle range, shuffleboard, swimming (indoor pool and beach), table tennis, tennis, trap shooting, and volleyball.
